Bannack HDR

The hotel was definitely one of the most impressive pieces of architecture in Bannack. I wanted an HDR of it, but had to wait until it was no longer surrounded by students. By the time that happened, there were some pretty sweet clouds with silver lining in the background. Another one that makes the sacrifice of dinner worthwhile.

On the River

I spent a lot of my free time on the river, trying to catch decent shots. I must have taken twenty or more from this very spot, trying to perfect the composition (and conquer my manual settings). The HDR version of this same shot didn’t turn out so well, but turns out that just running the normal exposure shot through the same process was kinda neat. The yellows were far too powerful however, so I threw on a Vibrance Adjustment layer to tone down the color intensity.
